Daren SavageDaren Savage started dancing while in college. Daren began his professional career with the San Antonio Ballet, where he quickly rose through the ranks to dance principal roles. Darens success continued with the Tennessee Festival Ballet, where he danced under the direction of David Holmes and Anna-Marie Holmes. Daren counts the Prince in Cinderella as one of his favorite ballets with Tennessee Festival Ballet. Daren received his critical highest praise while dancing Mac in Lew Christensen's Filling Station, with BalletMet under the direction of John McFall. At BalletMet, Daren had the opportunity work with many influential choreographers and ballet coaches, such as Lynn Wallis, Lynne Taylor-Corbett, David Parsons, and Robert North. After a short stint with the Milwaulkee Ballet Company, Daren returned to his native Southern California to dance with Ballet Pacifica. With Ballet Pacifica, Daren danced many roles such as Tchaikovsky, in Robert Sund's Tchaikovsky Trio, Romeo in Molly Lynch's Romeo and Juliet, and as the Poet in Les Sylphides. Daren's other hobbies include photography, computers, amateur web-mastering (Daren maintains the historical website www.allaboutguppys.com -- Dedicated to the aircraft that helped get the U.S. to the moon and beyond). Daren is also a licensed pilot and enjoys flying both his radio-controlled models as well as the full-size airplanes. |
